When I met Aaron Matos, Paradox's founder & CEO, at HR Tech in 2017, he rattled something off in passing that seemed obvious at the time, but also had amazing depth to it.

"Recruiting's a people game. And if you can get the people thing right, you can build teams that change the world. It's kinda simple and really hard at the same time."

Now that I'm part of the Paradox team, I have the pleasure of witnessing just how much of a premium Aaron places on hiring the absolute best people he can find.

Today, we announced a new member of our executive team — adding Stephanie King as Chief Legal Officer and Chief of Staff. She comes to Paradox from DLA Piper, one of the largest law firms by revenue in the world, where she was a corporate and securities partner who helped lead more than $1 billion in strategic transactions and led the firm’s Phoenix-based emerging growth and venture capital practice.

In other words, Stephanie's about as good as it gets at what she does. And she'll certainly help us "get the people thing right" within our own team, as we try to continue our mission to help recruiting teams spend more time with people, not software.

So, why'd Stephanie choose Paradox? In her words:

I’ve had the incredible fortune of observing Paradox's growth from the beginning and can’t wait to contribute to an organization revolutionizing how global companies build extraordinary teams.
