SCOTTSDALE, AZ - September 30, 2019 — Paradox and McDonald’s Corporation announced the launch of McHire, a unique talent hiring platform built specifically for the needs of McDonald’s restaurants. The platform allows McDonald’s candidates to have real-time support and communication throughout the application and hiring process with help from Paradox’s Olivia. For hiring managers, Olivia alleviates the administrative workload of recruiting, onboarding and hiring through simple requests on a mobile device.

McHire is a fully customized version of Olivia Hire for Restaurant and Retail, the Paradox assistive hiring platform, which was a recent recipient of the 2019 HR Executive Top HR Products Award. Supported by integrations with multiple systems across the McDonald’s technology stack, McHire provides a single consistent communication channel for McDonald’s candidates on both the web as well as mobile devices. As managers make hiring decisions, Olivia provides information and next steps to candidates which allows managers to focus on restaurant operations and employees, as well as spending more time with candidates, instead of with HR systems.

The McDonald’s National Franchisee Leadership Alliance has been instrumental in shaping McHire to ensure the platform delivers a transformational experience for restaurant hiring managers and the Owner/Operator community by improving the speed and simplicity of hiring. McHire is currently being deployed in all corporate-owned restaurants in the United States after a successful pilot in a limited number of corporate-owned and franchisee restaurants. The platform will be available to additional interested franchisees throughout Q4 2019 and into early 2020.
The launch of McHire follows McDonald’s recent announcement of Apply Thru(TM), the world’s first voice-initiated application process allowing candidates to use Alexa and the Google Assistant to start the job application for a McDonald’s restaurant. Apply Thru, also developed by Paradox, provides another opportunity to deliver a simpler, more convenient experience to candidates wherever they are, including the convenience of their home.
